The Art of Helping: Assistance Dog in Action
When: Friday 12/12/2025
As part of the Triocacib 2025 accompanying program, visitors can look forward to a demonstration of "The Art of Helping: Assistance Dog in Action".
Mrs. Lucie will introduce her assistance Amanda (Portuguese Water Dog) and show how her four-legged partner helps her in everyday life. The demonstration will be complemented by commentary and an interview with Mrs. Lucie so that the audience can better understand the importance and benefits of the work of assistance dogs.
Hanka Böhme
Detection dogs and the fight against illegal trade
When: Saturday and Sunday, December 13th and 14th, 2025
As part of the accompanying program of this year's Prague Expo Dog 2025, visitors can look forward to an extraordinary guest – Hanka Böhme, who will give a lecture on the work of detection dogs. They play a key role in the fight against the illegal trade in endangered animal species around the world.
Hanka Böhme is involved in the Raspberry for the Elephant (www.malinaproslona.cz) project, which focuses on training and deploying dogs capable of detecting body parts of protected animals, such as tusks, horns or pangolin scales. These specially trained dogs are used by inspectors and customs officers not only in the Czech Republic, but also in the African Congo and in Southeast Asian countries.
During the weekend program, Hanka Böhme will present what the work of detection dogs looks like in practice, how their training and selection takes place, and why their activities are so essential for nature conservation. The performance will also include photos, videos from the field and demonstrations of sample imprinting practice.
The program with Hanka Böhme will take place on Saturday and Sunday, December 13–14, 2025 , as part of the accompanying program Prague Expo Dog 2025 at the PVA EXPO PRAGUE – Letňany complex.
RESDOGS
Rescue dogs and the search for missing persons
When: Saturday and Sunday, December 13th and 14th, 2025
As part of the accompanying program Prague Expo Dog 2025, the rescue organization RESDOGS (www.pohresujeme.cz) and the associated IBHA – International Bloodhound Academy (www.ibha.eu) will present their activities.
The team led by Mr. Lubomír Satora will introduce visitors to the work of dog handlers and their dogs, who specialize in the search for missing persons. Due to the space available, there will be no practical demonstrations, but the organization has prepared a projection of videos and photos, accompanied by commentary by experienced dog handlers.
The program will also include a presentation of the IBHA – International Bloodhound Academy, a training and teaching organization that provides attestation of search dogs. These certified dogs can be used for practical searches under the banner of RESDOGS. The academy has a nationwide scope and offers training both for interested members of the public in the hobby level and for operational teams prepared for real rescue operations.
This interesting block will take place as part of the accompanying program Prague Expo Dog 2025 on December 13–14, 2025 at the PVA EXPO PRAGUE – Letňany complex. Visitors can also meet the members of the RESDOGS team in person at their information stand, where they will be available for questions and a closer presentation of their activities.
Centre for Dog Behaviour Research (CULS)
Do you know what a dog can sniff out – and how does it actually think?

On Friday at Prague Expo Dog 2025 , the Centre for Dog Behaviour Research of the Czech University of Life Sciences (Czech University of Life Sciences Prague) will present the fascinating results of its research on how dogs detect odors, cooperate with humans and respond to various conditions.
In cooperation with the Police of the Czech Republic, the Customs Administration, the Mountain Rescue Service and the Prison Service , they are investigating how to optimize the training of detection and rescue dogs, but also how to better understand dog communication and the human-dog relationship.
Research is a game for dogs – full of rewards, motivation and fun. Come and hear how science helps dogs and humans work better together.
Hoopers
Discover the magic of circles! Hoopers will draw you into the world of grace and communication with the dog.
When: Sunday 14/12/2025
Hoopers is a modern canine sport that combines precision, speed, and human-dog cooperation . Dogs run along a marked course through tunnels and gates without jumping, and the goal is to complete the course accurately and quickly according to the handler's instructions .
The sport is suitable for all dogs – even smaller or older ones who cannot participate in agility. Emphasis is placed on positive motivation, joy of play and connection between the dog and the human.

DiscDog
Dogfrisbee in action - throws, jumps and freestyle routines that show that dog sports can be fun for everyone!
When: Friday 12.12, Saturday 13.12. Sunday 14.12.
The DiscDog club will also participate in the Prague Expo Dog 2025 program this year, having prepared attractive demonstrations for all visitors.
In the accompanying program, 2-3 teams from the Discdog club will present themselves every day, introducing visitors to the sport of dogfrisbee from the very beginning to demonstrations by experienced teams. Spectators will see basic throws, dog work, and dynamic freestyle elements, giving them an idea of what this sport looks like in full action.
You can look forward to a dynamic and entertaining performance that is sure to entertain you!
Mondioring
Mondioring in action! On Friday you can look forward to a demonstration from the 2025 Czech Republic champion, Jana Kulísková, and her team.

Come on Friday for a demonstration of mondioring, one of the most challenging dog sports!
Mondioring belongs to the family of ring sports with a history of over 100 years. The goal is to test the working abilities, courage and controllability of dogs. This sport combines obedience, jumping and defense in one comprehensive program.
The extras use a so-called ring suit during their defenses, making the whole show very dynamic and exciting.
Mondioring is not only a physically but also mentally demanding sport - a demonstration will allow you to see the dogs in action and appreciate their abilities and connection with the leader.
Red paw
A dog can be a hero! Come and meet the Red Paw on Saturday – an online registry of dog blood donors.

As part of the accompanying program, we will be introducing the Red Paw - an online registry of canine blood donors on Saturday, December 13, 2025., which helps canine patients throughout the Czech Republic. You will learn how canine donation works, how a transfusion is performed, and whose life can dog blood save.

On Friday and Saturday at Prague Expo Dog, we will offer you two expert lectures by Ms. Vladimíra Tichá – one of the most prominent figures in Czech cynology. Each day will be devoted to one key topic that will be appreciated by both novice owners and experienced breeders.
Friday: Traveling with a dog
In Friday's lecture, you will learn how to travel with your dog safely, comfortably, and in accordance with applicable regulations. Ms. Tichá will also explain the possible health risks associated with traveling abroad and advise on how to minimize situations where your dog may bring something you definitely don't want.
Saturday: Reproduction
Saturday's lecture will focus on reproduction. You will get a clear overview of the female dog's hormonal cycle, learn to determine the optimal day for mating, and find out what the most common causes of failure to conceive may be. Practical advice based on many years of experience.

For Saturday, we have prepared an interesting program for you with performances by two exceptional guests from the field of sporting and service cynology.
- Ms. Jitka Jozová, an experienced police dog handler, will demonstrate obedience training, defensive work, and a small demonstration of special canine activities with her team. Visitors will see how dog handlers work with dogs and what skills their training requires.
- Mr. Jiří Kolář, a specialist in sports and service cynology with many years of experience, will, together with his son, demonstrate obedience and defense, in which the dog and handler will demonstrate precise cooperation and skills built through joint training.
In the Czech Republic, one of the main organizations supporting high-quality training and development of sporting cynology is the Czech Cynological Association (ČKS) , which, together with other entities, provides training for dog handlers and supports the development of this fascinating discipline at all levels.
At Prague Expo Dog, visitors can look forward to unique demonstrations of working with dogs. Watch how a dog and a handler form a well-coordinated team full of energy and skills, and gain inspiration and new knowledge!

Come on Sunday to experience the energy of obedience live - precise obedience, perfectly coordinated interaction, and enthusiasm that will captivate you!
Obedience is based on precise cooperation between dog and handler, which is tested in predetermined exercises, the order of which is not the same at any competition! In 2007, the Obedience CZ Club was founded, which covers this sport, as well as Rally Obedience, in the Czech Republic. Obedience is practiced in the Czech Republic according to the international FCI-Obedience test rules, which have three performance classes, preceded by the national entrance test OB-Z. Today, this sport has many fans, it is suitable for breeds of all sizes and types - and you come and see it live!
