Judges 2025

Belcevic Dusan, Serbia
I was born in 1984 in Kraljevo, Serbia. I come from Serbia and I am the owner of Shining Field Kennel and co-owner of Absolutely Charming Kennel. My love for dogs started when I was very young. In early 2003 I got my first show dog. Given my great love for American Staffordshire Terriers, the big decisions were easy. My Amstaff was my best friend. Then, in the same year, the Shining Field Kennel was officially founded and registered under FCI number 4383 and it all started. Since then, many prestigious show winners have come from my kennel. In 2010, I expanded the kennel to include two more breeds, the Boston Terrier and the French Bulldog. In 2016 I became a national judge for FCI Group III and three years later an international judge for FCI. Since then, I have passed the exams for Groups VIII, IX and half of Group II (Molossoid section). The list of breeds that I can judge is available on: FCI directory website. I have judged in many European countries at national and international shows. I have also judged American Staffordshire Terriers at a regional specialty show in Orlando, USA. I have had great pleasure in judging national, specialty shows in France, Russia, Finland and other specialty shows for Am. Staffordshire Terriers (Poland, Russia, Serbia, Germany, France, Hungary) and other breeds. I am an active member of the board of Kennel Club Serbia and also the president of Kennel Club Kraljevo

Brotánkova Zuzana, Czech Republic
The beginning of my cynological activity dates back to 1972, when my first boxer dog brought me to exhibitions and service training. Since 1976, I have been accompanied by the Pekingese breed, with which I have been engaged in breeding, but above all exhibition activities, within which I have achieved the highest world and European awards. I supported this interest of mine by studying at the Faculty of Science of Charles University, with a state final exam in zoology, among other things. Over the years, I have completed training for a judge of the exterior of dogs in groups I, IX and XI FCI. As an international judge, I have judged in many European countries and today I devote more time to this activity than to breeding and presenting my own animals.

Since 2023, I have been a national judge for the Golden Retriever, Labrador Retriever and Flat Coated Retriever breeds. Grygarova Alexandra, Czech Republic
I have been involved in cynology since 1971 and dogs have been my lifelong love, perhaps since birth. My first dog was a female miniature schnauzer pepper and salt, with whom I have been attending the training ground since I was eleven years old. In 1976 I became an instructor in training service dogs. My breeding activity began in 1979 with medium schnauzer pepper and salt under my kennel Alké, later Bohemia Alké. I also became a breeder of Malinois, Chihuahua, Australian Silky Terrier and Jack Russell Terrier. I still breed Havanese and Border Collies today and my lifelong goal is to breed primarily healthy individuals that meet the standard as closely as possible, who will make their owners happy, whom I carefully select. My offspring have won many titles at exhibitions, including world and European winners of adults and youth, interchampions and champions of many countries, Top dog, res. Champion of champions, BIS, BOD, etc. Since 2001, I have been happy to judge dogs at FCI shows and as an international judge at shows in our country and abroad (e.g. Belgian Shepherd Club Show in Belgium and Germany). In 2014, I had the honor of judging at the European Show in Brno. In 2019, I became a group judge of FCI Group 1, in 2020 FCI Group 3, in 2021 I received approval for the Junior Handling competition and in 2024 I was appointed a judge of Group 9. Hegr Klivarová Martina, Czech Republic
I have been surrounded by dogs my whole life and have been "suffering" from my love for them since I was a little girl. In 1998, I bought my first female Basset Hound and with her I founded my kennel OD HADÍHO POTOKA. Five years later, my first Bloodhound arrived and later also Jack Russell Terriers. I am still engaged in breeding these breeds today. Bloodhounds from Hadího potok are bred in many countries around the world, including the USA, Great Britain, Australia, etc. Excellent exterior, excellent movement, balanced and friendly nature and health of the breed are the main goals of my breeding. I have always tried to make my puppies happy for their owners. Showing dogs was and still is my great hobby. Years later, I also wanted to be a judge. I succeeded and now I am an international judge for FCI group III and the breeds Bloodhound, Basset Hound, Beagle, Rhodesian Ridgeback.

At the age of seven, I bought my first dog – a smooth-haired dachshund without a pedigree. In 1986, my father bought a female smooth-haired fox terrier, which decided the breed for many years. In 1996, the first litter of smooth-haired fox terriers was born in our Tuskulum kennel. It has always been a small family kennel. Our greatest successes were the titles of European Winner with the male Chart Tuskulum and Tallulah Tuskulum, and in 2015, the female Latonia Tuskulum won CC from the Crufts show. I became a conformation judge in 2010. I am currently a group judge for terrier and dachshund breeds. Many Interchampions and champions of many countries come from our kennel. In 1995, I became vice-chairman of the Shih-tzu Club of the Czech Republic and in 2005 I was elected chairman of the club. Loredana Salina, Switzerland
I have been actively involved with purebred dogs for over 30 years – starting as an exhibitor, then as a breeder and finally as an FCI judge. Under the Fairweather's Kennel Club, I have been breeding and showing Newfoundlands since 1996. During this time, we have bred over 70 champions, including several Best in Show and World Champions. Our Newfoundlanders have won Best of Breed at Crufts twice and made history as the first Newfoundland to ever win the Working Group at Crufts. We have also had the honour of having Top Show Dog of the Year (all breeds) winners who have represented their countries at the prestigious Eukanuba World Challenge in Long Beach, California for three consecutive years: • 2009 (Switzerland); • 2010 (United Kingdom); • 2022 (Ireland) The influence of our Newfoundlands is still evident today – many kennels around the world build their foundations on our bloodlines. It is a joy to see their legacy live on through descendants who maintain the true beauty and type of the breed. My deep passion for preserving the Newfoundland type inspired me to write an illustrated guide to the breed standard, which has been published in five languages. In addition to Newfoundlands, I have also bred American Cocker Spaniels and Pomeranians, and over the years I have owned English Bulldogs, Maltese and Dachshunds. More recently, my journey has expanded to include Staffordshire Bull Terriers. My partner, a long-time Staffy breeder, introduced me to the breed and living with them has greatly deepened my understanding and love of the breed. This experience also opened the door for me to a wider group of terriers, which I now judge with the same passion as the Molossoid breeds in Group 2 and the Spitz and Primitive types in Group 5. I have had the privilege of judging at national and international shows all over the world, including: Italy, Spain, Portugal, France, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Estonia, Finland, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Serbia, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, South Africa, England, Ireland, Australia and my home country of Switzerland. As a judge, I try to see the dog as a whole: “The true essence of a dog is never hidden in a single detail – only the harmony of the whole makes it truly unique.” I look forward to meeting you and your beautiful dogs.

Malkmus Vanessa, Germany
Dear exhibitors, I grew up with dogs and more than 25 years ago a black Labrador female joined our family and my passion for retrievers, especially Labradors, was awakened. We started with our first steps in the show ring and passed several tests. The logical consequence was our first litter of Labradors in 1999 under the breeding brand "Black Pearl of Mainhatten". Thanks to our own dogs, I am an active hunter and I lead our females both to hunt, hunting tests and to shows all over Europe. After several litters, many titles and hunting tests, I decided to become a judge. A few years later I was certified for group 8 and judged in many countries, including Germany, Austria, Poland, Italy, Finland, Denmark, Latvia, Belgium, France, the Netherlands and the USA (Potomac and San Francisco). When I ask myself why I enjoy judging, there is only one answer: my passion for cynology and especially for group 8! I am really looking forward to judging all the beautiful breeds from group 8 at Trio CACIB Prague 2025! It is always an honor and excitement! See you in December :).

Mazura Peter, Austria
My passion for dogs began in early childhood. In 1996 we got our first sighthound, an Irish Wolfhound, and 2 years later a female Irish Wolfhound came to our home. With our two Irish Wolfhounds we started attending dog shows and sighthound races. In 1999 our first female Hungarian Agar moved into our family with a big bang. Since 2008 my wife and I have been breeding Hungarian Agars under the kennel called "Ajándék". During my cynological career I was head of the racing section of the Austrian Sighthound Club (ÖKWZR) for over 8 years and vice president of the Austrian Nordic and Sled Dog Club (ÖCNHS) for over 10 years. In 2000 I started my career as an FCI judge, starting with sighthound performances, coursing and racing. I started judging at shows in 2005 and became a judge for Group X, some breeds in Groups II, V, IX and junior handling. Good luck to all competitors and have a great and fun weekend.

Mudra Antonín, Czech Republic
In the seventies, I became interested in greyhound breeds, and my wife and I owned several of them: saluki, Afghan hound, azawakh and borzoi. Since then, I have been engaged in breeding borzois all my life, the SOFENA kennel. I was at the birth of a specialized club for this breed in 1995 and I am still active in it today as a chairman and breeding advisor. In the eighties, I became a judge for greyhound breeds, gradually expanding my approvals for other breeds that interested me. I have judged in many European countries and am still an active judge. Now I judge breeds of FCI groups V, IX, X and other breeds from groups I, II and the group of unrecognized breeds.

Paduch Sascha, Germany
Dear exhibitors of the TriCACIB Prague Expo 2025 dog show! I have been breeding pedigree dogs for over 25 years. In my kennel "Paduch's" I have been successfully breeding Welsh Springer Spaniels for 20 years and have won countless titles, such as World Junior Champion and World Veteran Champion, among others. In addition to showing all over Europe, my great passion is working with dogs. As a hunter, I also use Labradors and Spaniels for hunting. As an FCI group judge of group 8 and a special judge for Labradors and all breeds of Spaniels, I have judged in many European countries. Judging offers me a great opportunity to follow and accompany the development of the breed. At the same time, judging is a responsible task. After all, judging according to standards affects the breeding process and its original use and, last but not least, the health of the breed. In particular, the aspect of "fitness for function", especially in hunting dog breeds, must always be judged in accordance with the breed standard. Equally important is a balanced and friendly nature and let's not forget the "willingness to please" of its owner. Because my commitment to breeding purebred dogs is very important to me, I served, among other things, until 2024 as president of the German Jagd-Spaniel Club, the largest spaniel club in Germany, which includes all nine breeds. But what I don't want to forget and what is almost as important to me is the continued opportunity to meet and get to know people from all over the world. It is an honor to be part of the TriCACIB Expo 2025 dog show and I am very much looking forward to judging your wonderful dogs and meeting all of you in Prague!

Partanen Jari, Norway
My name is Jari Partanen, I was born in 1973 in the north of Finland. When I was born, our family had a cocker spaniel and later we had retrievers. First came a flat-coated retriever and later my very first dog — a Labrador. At 16, I completed the ring steward course, so I had to wait another 2 years for official certification. Despite my young age, I was one of the driving forces behind the establishment of the local retriever club. I learned to groom golden retrievers and started showing them, and later many other breeds. I even bred a litter of golden retrievers, which included several CC holders. I longed for a smaller breed and by chance I saw a Löwchen and realized that I had found my breed! I have never regretted this decision; this breed has completely won me over. I have had them for over 35 years and my partner started with this breed two years earlier. Together we have bred or owned around 150 champion lion cubs, numerous winners of specialty shows and also holders of the title of Lion Cub of the Year in various countries. In addition to lion cubs and my deep involvement with retrievers, I also had a Welsh Corgi Pembroke. I had a relatively happy start in this breed and in three litters I bred nice puppies and several champions. Lion cubs were always my main focus and after my life situation changed I decided to continue only with lion cubs. However, I missed the breed and today I have two Pembroke dogs in co-ownership with a friend. I got my first license in 2002 in Finland; my first breed to judge was the lion cub. A big change in my life was my move to Norway in 2007. Today, as a Norwegian judge, I am authorized to judge all breeds. I judge around 40 shows a year. I am a member of the Judges' Education Committee and the Exhibition Committee of the Norwegian Kennel Club.

Ridarcikova Gabriela, Slovakia
I am a member of the Presidium of the Slovak Cynological Union, vice-president of the Slovak Kennel Club, president of the Slovak Doberman Club's Board of Judges, president of the Slovak Doberman Club. I represent Slovakia at the FCI General Assembly and at the European and World Sections. I am a representative of our country at the meeting of the FCI Commission for Judges for Exhibitions. I am an international judge for judging all dog breeds. It was my honor to judge at several world and European exhibitions and at many international exhibitions in various countries. My kennel "z Tomka" was founded on August 17, 1975. The beginnings of my breeding were related to my favorite breed, the Boxer. It was not until the eighties that my dream came true and the beautiful Doberman breed walked proudly by my side. We have bred many international champions and champions of various countries, but for me the most important thing is the beautiful feeling that a puppy from us has made many people's lives more beautiful and happier.

Rooney Catherine, Ireland
I grew up with terriers, Kerry Blue & Jack Russell’s, then acquired a pedigree, Cocker Spaniel. As a child dogs & horses factored hugely in my life. For several years I walked Greyhounds with our neighbour & fondly remember sporting many a welt from their whip-like wagging tails. Over the years I have been involved in various breeds, societies and Championship Shows: Boxers, Bichon, Dobermann, Schnauzers (Giant, Standard & Miniature), Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and the rare Irish Glen of Imaal. I’m now a director of the Combined Canine Club, we host a 3-day event, an International Show, a National Show and the prestigious Pup of the Year event. We also run a Christmas show which is very special. I hold a Diploma in Judging having undertaken canine studies with Mr. David Cavill’s Animal Care College, (Canine Studies Institute, England). Mrs. Jean Blyth, Saxonsprings U.K. (Lhasa Apso’s & Crufts fame) being my tutor. My final dissertation was on the history, function and future of another native breed, the Irish Wolfhound. I’m now an FCI All Round Judge and had the pleasure to judge in Ireland, Northern Ireland (judged under the 7 Group British system), the Netherland, Norway, Sweden, Slovenia, Finland, South Africa, France, Germany, Russia (prior to the ban) Poland, Portugal, Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia. Thank you for the invitation to judge at your show which I am truly looking forward to.

Spoljaric Boris, Croatia
Boris Spoljaric, a civil engineer, was born in Rijeka (Croatia) on 20 December 1960. He has been involved in cynology since May 1974, when he acquired his first dog – a Sarplaninac. He became a judge in 1979 and has had the status of an all-round judge since 2003. He has judged in 65 countries in Europe, Asia, North and South America, Africa, Australia and New Zealand. In addition, he has judged at twenty European and world shows from 1998 to the present, as well as at prestigious shows such as Helsinki Winner, Stockholm Winner, Herning, Baltic Winner, Dortmund, Euroasia, Royal Shows, SICALAM and other major world events. In the last 25 years, he has judged more than 200 Best in Show competitions in 54 countries around the world. Meeting with prominent figures of Croatian cynology – mag. Ratimir Orban, Baroness Ksenija Turković, Ing. Tibor Lovrenčić, Prof. Dr. Stjepan Romić – influenced his dedication to researching Croatian dog breeds. From 1985 to 2020, he published more than 150 professional cynological papers, 100 of which were on Croatian breeds. He significantly contributed to the latest versions of the FCI standards and to the creation of commentaries on the standards of the Dalmatian, Istrian Shorthaired Hound, Istrian Rough Hound, Posavina Hound and Croatian Shepherd Dog. His work in 2016–2020 on the preparation of PowerPoint presentations on these autochthonous breeds, which are now published on the FCI website, was very important. Collaboration with Dr. Mario Pericone, Dr. Franco Bonetti, Mrs. Tina Violi Gussoni, Luciano Bernini, Hans Lehtinen, Prof. Dr. Slobodan Pavlović and Dr. sci. Dr. vet. med. Milivoj Urošević contributed to his comprehensive cynological education. He published three books about dogs: "Croatian Dog Breeds" (1993), "Jazavčar" (co-authored with Dr. Milivoj Urošević, 1993) and "Hrvatska kinološka baština" (2008), which brings historical records of Croatian dog breeds and the development of cynology in Croatia over the last 150 years. He is one of the first cynologists who began to engage in cynological journalism in southeastern Europe. His works have been published in various cynological and zoological magazines - Moj Pas, Zov, Moj pes, Naši psi, Dobra kob, Kinolog. Today he is an occasional collaborator of the magazine Moj Pas. Very significant are his field investigations of dog breeds in Istria, the Croatian coast, Dalmatia and Slavonia, as well as numerous expeditions to the mountainous regions of Southeastern Europe and Central Asia, where he studied groups of shepherd and sheepdogs, greyhounds, hounds and spitz. In the 1980s, he significantly participated in the registration of previously undocumented individuals of the Croatian Shepherd breed with the Croatian Cynological Association. He owns a cynological library with more than 1000 books and studies.

Šiklova Veronika, Czech Republic
The first Saluki appeared in our home in 1988 and has simply remained there to this day. That is why my cynological journey is connected with this breed. Whether it was the first attempts as a young exhibitor, the first puppies in my kennel "al-Quadar" in 1995, or gaining experience and contacts as an au-pair in a foreign kennel. The B litter in 2008 and the first ever registered short-haired Saluki born in the Czech Republic were important to me. My personal experience with Persian greyhounds is definitely not about quantity (after all, as a breeder, I am only at the letter D in the alphabet). But I believe that this is what makes my approach to breeding and cynology in general more responsible and humble. In the greyhounds that I judge at this show, I look primarily for natural elegance combined with the strength of a functional hunter and athlete.

Sulcek Pavel, Czech Republic
Approval for the entire FCI group: 8. sighthounds, retrievers and water dogs

Tichá Vladimíra, Czech Republic
I work professionally in a small veterinary practice and I am very aware of the importance of the position that dogs currently hold in human society. I have been participating in dog shows since childhood. First as a staff member, then as an exhibitor and since 1980 as a judge. I am interested in the history of the origin of individual breeds and the nature of dogs is highly appreciated in the show ring.

Vaclavik Miroslav, Czech Republic
My beginnings in cynology date back to the mid-seventies with the Great Dane breed. I have bred over 60 litters of mainly Great Danes, but also English Bulldogs and Chow Chows. I bred Great Danes mainly in black and spotted colors. I gradually became a judge and since 2006 I have been a judge for all breeds. I judge at all types of shows, both in the Czech Republic and abroad. I have been honored to judge several world and European shows. I have been the president of the Great Dane Club for 20 years. Since 2007 I have been the vice president of the Czech Kennel Club and the chairman of the judging panel. I currently no longer breed Great Danes, but I devote all my free time to cynology. My motto is "Let cynology remain just a hobby for everyone".

Vondrous Otakar, Czech Republic
I have been involved in cynology since 1969, when I started breeding St. Bernard dogs, and for a long time I was the president of this club and a member of the board of the Czech Kennel Club. I am the director of the Interdog Bohemia shows in Mladá Boleslav, a judge since 1986 and a judge for all FCI breeds for 20 years. I have judged in almost all European countries and at many European and World shows.

Vlasak Vaclav, Czech Republic
My name is Václav Vlasák. I have been involved in cynology, and mainly in sighthounds, since 1971. I have bred 2 alphabets of German shorthaired pointers, including several interchampions and national champions. I have also been involved in sighthound training all my life. I have repeatedly participated as a leader in top competitions in the Czech Republic such as MRK and MKP. Then IKP and Kleeman's tests abroad. I mainly show German shorthaired pointers. I have been a judge for sighthound performance since 1981. I have been a judge for exterior since 1986. I judge the exterior of the entire group VII., but also some breeds of groups II., VI. and VIII.

Wibier Mark, Netherlands
I grew up in a family that was active in dog breeding; I am a second generation breeder and exhibitor. In our family, everything revolved around the national breed, the Dutch Shepherd. I successfully bred all three varieties of this breed under the kennel 't Noorder Erf. Many Dutch, international, European and world champions come from our kennel. In addition to our Dutch Shepherds, I bred the Schapendoes breed and exhibited the Saarloos Wolfdog. My interest in other breeds has always been great. For more than 30 years, greyhounds have also been an inseparable part of my passion for dogs. Our household has been home to whippets for more than 25 years, after which an Afghan Hound and a Borzoi also enriched my life. Together with my wife, we have successfully bred Old English Sheepdogs. Since 2007, I have been appointed as a judge and am qualified as a group judge for group 1 (sheep and cattle dogs) and group 10 (greyhounds), as well as for some breeds in groups 2, 3, 5 and 9. Judging is my passion due to the interaction that arises between the dog and me; it is my modest and positive contribution to cynology at a time when our purebred dogs are increasingly under pressure in many countries. I value the preservation of a healthy and functional purebred dog, the beauty and aesthetics of our breeds and, above all, the love for dogs. I sincerely enjoy the beauty of every dog, even if not everyone can win or even get the highest qualification. From my previous experience with judging in Prague and at other shows in the Czech Republic, I know that the standard is very high — both in the quality of the dogs, in the commitment and passion of the exhibitors and in the professionalism of the organizing organizations. Therefore, I look forward to welcoming you and your dog(s) into the circle.

Wonisch Günter, Austria
In 1993 I bought my first dog, a Pekingese. In 2005 I got a female Irish Water Spaniel. She won 25 championship titles, was a class winner at Crufts, a European winner and a veteran European winner. I had 3 litters of IWS in my kennel. I am now the proud owner of a smooth-haired dachshund. In 2000 I received the certification "Academically certified specialist in animal-assisted therapy and support measures". In 2006 we founded the association "Therapy Dogs Styria" under the auspices of the Styrian Kennel Club (STHK), of which I was able to serve as president from 2006 to 2012. Since 2012 I have been president of the Styrian Kennel Club (STHK) and organizer of the Premstätten/Graz International Dog Show. Since 2011 I have been an international judge with a license for groups 4, 6, 7, 8 and 9, as well as for some other breeds from groups 2 and 3. I have had the honor of judging in the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Great Britain, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden and Switzerland, as well as at the European Dog Show 2019.
